Phase I ESAs can be completed utilizing either a client supplied scope of work or the relevant ASTM standard procedure (currently ASTM E 1527 – 00). While the ASTM procedure represents current best practice, ENSOURCE emphasizes the need to evaluate all environmental business risks associated with industrial and commercial property, a task that often requires expansion of the ASTM procedure to include non-scope items. Phase I ESAs have been completed on a wide variety of facilities including undeveloped land, retail and commercial sites, manufacturing facilities, oil and gas producing properties and related facilities, multifamily housing and chemical manufacturing and storage facilities.
